Diamonds in the Rough – About Us

Diamonds in the Rough is a non-profit organization with a simple, yet important mission: utilizing the life lessons that golf provides to assist young people in learning to face challenges with courage and perseverance.

We bring children who face health, emotional or learning challenges to golf courses and driving ranges around the country and supply them with proper equipment and instruction at no charge. We also dedicate ourselves to finding families with children that are interested in golf, but are unable to afford the sometimes prohibitive costs involved. We do this by networking with other golf and service organizations in locating young people for whom a golf education and experience will be most valuable.

Our aim is to provide golf’s many life and character lessons to youth whose challenging situations require of them an extra measure of mental strength, self-discipline, and resolve.

The benefits of golf are universal, but access to courses, equipment, and instruction are not. This is where Diamonds in the Rough makes an important difference. Your support and tax-deductible contributions allow us to remove the financial barriers and offer these life-enriching programs to children who will benefit from them the most.
